  Many people like their jobs; they may be a little reluctant to see the sun rise on Monday, but their co-workers are fun to be with, the clients are friendly, and the work isn’t bad... But Mirian Oliveira wanted more.

  What's the secret to being a successful designer? One is simply knowing your clients and their needs, and then catering specifically to them. That's what Sheffield Graduate Connie Nikiforoff does, and her business, Connie Nikiforoff Designs, has the track record to show that it works.

• Feng Shui Student Renate Bell
  After many years in business, the Sheffield School launched a new program to supplement the Sheffield Complete Course in Interior Design. By evaluating popular trends in design and listening to what students and graduates asked for, the School decided that a course in Feng Shui was needed, and so it was born in 2003.

  Sheffield Graduate Layla Palmer has a booming interior design business in Prattville, Alabama.
• Linda Senn
  Some people don’t discover the joys of interior design until later in life, after a career in a totally unrelated field and a lifetime of living with bad lighting, mis-matched furnishings, and plain walls.But for Linda Senn, making her space beautiful has always been a preoccupation.
• Victoria Jones
  Victoria was already working and had a number of jobs behind her; however, she knew that credentials and proven tricks of the trade, plus professional guidance and help, would be invaluable to growing her business.
• André van Eeden
  André started his own business while approaching the end of his Sheffield studies, and today he's decorator, designer and does project management as well.
• Rachel Clancy
  In just five years working in the design field, Sheffield graduate Rachel Clancy has started her own business, had her work scouted as a site for a Hollywood movie, and will have her work coming out in a book this year.
• Beth Demore Smith
  "I am living my dream." That’s a statement not everyone can make, but Beth Demore-Smith says it without hesitation when asked about her studies at the Sheffield School and where they’ve led her.
• Linda Holstrom
  Some sisters are happy to see each other only at Thanksgiving and Mom’s 70th birthday bash. Not these sisters; they’re so close that not only do they now live together, but they’re also business partners, doing their part to make the world more beautiful, one home at a time.
• Larry Menache
  Anyone who thinks they need a background in art or design in order to become an interior designer needs only talk to Larry Menache, a Sheffield graduate whose living room design recently won the award for Best Living Room Overall from Louisiana Home and Garden Magazine.
• Lauren Liess
  Lauren Liess works primarily on residential projects, sometimes as a consultant, and has used her experience from Sheffield's Interior Design Course to run her own successful company.
• Teresa Rivera
  Sheffield graduate Teresa Rivera launched a successful house flipping firm nearby Kansas City &mdash and builds with success thanks to her boosted confidence as a designer.
• Julia Benn
  When she isn't busy running her interior design business, Sheffield Graduate Julia Benn can be found working on her photography, music, art, and other creative endeavors — and she brings all those talents into her career as an interior designer.
• Dot Greenlee
  After graduating from Sheffield's Complete Course in Interior Design, Dot Greenlee and her mother opened a residential and commercial interior design business in McKinney, Texas.
• Susan Dobrovolny
  Since completing Sheffield's Complete Course in Interior Design, Susan Dobrovolny is now a self-employed residential interior designer, working in Southern Maine.
• Nora Ramsdell
  After graduating from Sheffield's Complete Course in Interior Design, Nora Ramsdell opened her own full-service interior design and decorating businesss.
• Jamie Odle
  Sheffield graduate Jamie Odle proves what most successful people know: the creative energy you expend, the more you have.
• Mary King
  Taking the Sheffield Complete Course in Interior Design has worked out very nicely for Mary; she's now working in both residential and commercial interior design.
• Sue Morris
  If real estate depends on "location, location, location," then it could be said that running your own interior design business depends on "communication, communication, communication." For Sheffield graduate Sue Morris, her communication abilities have meant she's been able to start her own design business and get it off the ground and running without buying any advertising — it's all done by word of mouth.
• Nika Stewart
  From Sheffield student to star of television interior design? Why not? Sheffield Complete Course in Interior Design graduate Nika Stewart was a finalist to be on the first season of HGTV's Design Star show.
• John Snowbird
  John Snowberg is one of those rare people with an unbridled enthusiasm for life that makes everyone around him simply feel good. And in his position at Home Depot, his enthusiasm for the Sheffield Complete Course in Interior Design is drawing other sales associates to experience their own success in interior design.
