Please note: Many students who enroll on the monthly payment plan request the convenience of having their monthly payments automatically charged to a debit or credit card. We'll be happy to arrange this for you once you've enrolled and had the opportunity to review Unit One under our No-Risk Refund Policy. When you receive your first monthly statement in the mail, you'll find information enclosed that will explain exactly how to set that up. It's easy, secure, and will save you the cost of postage.

Note that your tuition charge, whether on the full payment plan or the monthly plan, will be listed on your credit card as charged to "Distance Education Company," which is our actual corporate name.

Tuition Protection Agreement

You are protected by our No-Risk Refund Policy:

  • If you request cancellation after examining the Unit One package, you are entitled to a full refund of everything you have paid, provided you notify the school within 21 days after you receive the Unit One package and return the materials promptly.
  • If you request cancellation after the 21-day period, you owe no further payments and you may be entitled to a prorated share of the tuition based upon the number of lessons you have completed.
  • Fees for materials (texts, videos, audios, and kits) will be refunded in full at any time during the course, provided you notify the school in writing within 21 days after you receive the materials and return them promptly.

NOTICE: The following notice is required under federal law in all installment contracts. In plain English: it gives you extra protection.

  • Any holder of this consumer credit contract is subject to all claims and defenses which the debtor could assert against the seller of goods or services obtained pursuant hereto or with the proceeds hereof. Recovery hereunder by the debtor shall not exceed amounts paid by the debtor here under.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Tuition payment must be in U.S. funds only. Students in Canada and foreign countries will be responsible for payment of any applicable customs duties.

Lessons, texts, and course materials are included in the tuition for the course you select. These materials are described in detail in the literature of Sheffield. At its sole discretion, the Institute reserves the right to substitute revised or updated course materials of equal or superior value.
