Nurit Schwarzbaum
The Sheffield Feng Shui Course is happily blessed to have Nurit Schwarzbaum on board as our Senior Student Advisor, contributing her skills in design, her background in business and health, and her vision of how to use Feng Shui to bring balance and harmony into one's life.
Her name, which is a Hebrew name for a fiery red flower, is pronounced "New-reet," but don't worry if you mispronounce it; with her easy-going manner she'll just gently correct you. If you're lucky enough to meet her in person, you'll see that she emanates the kind of caring seen only in true healers. And she brings her understanding of health and healing to her Feng Shui practice. "Feng Shui is a process of harmoniously aligning the energies of spaces and their purpose with the people who occupy them," she says. "It can lead us to unimaginable joy, freedom, prosperity, and well-being." Nurit takes her involvement in Feng Shui seriously; recently she moved from being the New York City Chapter Director of the International Feng Shui Guild to serving as that organization's Northeast Regional Director. She has also served as Program Director of the non-profit organization Feng Shui Across the World, an affiliation of Feng Shui students and professionals who donate their services to help people with life threatening illness or other crises. She runs her own Feng Shui company, Auspicious Spaces. "To balance our space is to balance ourselves," Nurit says. "As we gain new perspectives, we surrender our attachments to how things should be. Only then can we create spaces that honor the full expression of our being." Nurit is a graduate of Barnard College and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. She is a former health care administrator; her work at New York medical centers such as Beth Israel and Memorial Sloan Kettering helped to inspire her vision for the conscious design of all spaces that promote healing, well-being and happiness. Making a transition to Feng Shui was a natural evolution, as it brings together her background in business, health, psychology, spirituality, and healing. Nurit has studied with many distinguished authorities in the field, including Professor Thomas Lin Yun; she received her Feng Shui certification through Nancy SantoPietro, one of the leading international Feng Shui experts and teachers. When Nurit answers your questions or offers suggestions, you can be sure you're getting information from someone who knows Feng Shui and has incorporated it into her life on many levels. |
